Staff Accountant GL

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Reading and comprehending contracts, then utilizing accounting knowledge to record the related transactions
• Fully owning the general ledger accounts within his/her responsibility and ensuring compliance with US GAAP; calculating and explaining variance analysis
• Assisting with ad-hoc accounting projects, driving change and implementing enhanced processes
• Assisting with and potentially running, the annual financial statement audit
• Performing ad-hoc accounting research, making recommendations for proper accounting treatment and documenting transactions

Qualifications & Experience

• Must be able to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Process improvement mindset
• Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
• Very detail oriented with strong teaming and interpersonal skills
• Travel may be necessary 5-10% of the year
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active CA license or on CA licensure track
• 3-5 years accounting/ auditing experience
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
• Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial accounting systems
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics365 preferred
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
